Health Services
The Health Services Unit supports the health and well-being of individuals served by San Andreas Regional Center through clinical consultation, education, collaboration, and advocacy.
Our multidisciplinary team includes Registered Nurses (RNs), an Occupational Therapist (OT), and a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP). Working in partnership with individuals served, families, Service Coordinators, healthcare professionals, and service providers, the Health Services Unit provides specialized consultation and resources to help address health-related needs and support access to appropriate healthcare services.

How We Can Help
The Health Services Unit may provide:
- Clinical consultation regarding complex health-related needs
- Health education and resources
- Support with healthcare coordination and transitions of care
- Consultation regarding medical, dental, and occupational therapy needs
- Assistance identifying healthcare and community resources
- Training and education for Service Coordinators and service providers
- Collaboration with physicians, hospitals, dentists, pharmacies, vendors, and other healthcare professionals
- Advocacy related to accessing appropriate healthcare services
Our Team
Registered Nurses (RNs) provide nursing consultation, health education, advocacy, and support related to complex health needs and healthcare coordination.
Occupational Therapist (OT) provides consultation related to functional abilities, adaptive needs, equipment, positioning, and strategies that promote participation and independence.
Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) provides oral health education, consultation, resources, and support with accessing dental services.
Accessing Health Services
Individuals served and families who have health-related questions or concerns are encouraged to contact their Service Coordinator. Service Coordinators can consult with the Health Services Unit and coordinate additional support when appropriate.
